what is klife?

KLIFE is a community-wide, interdenominational Christian ministry of discipleship and fellowship for youth and their families. Through a variety of activities (klubs, small group Bible studies, and monthly events), KLIFE kids grow in their faith and have lots of fun in the process. They learn that following Christ and discovering His plan for their life is the most exciting adventure of all and that they can count on friendship and support from leaders and peers who care.

KLIFE works alongside churches and families in the community to teach and encourage kids to be strong in the Lord in spite of all the negative pressures they face as teenagers. KLIFE networks kids from different churches, and those without a church affiliation, to build positive, Godly relationships that can withstand the negative peer pressure so prevalent in today’s youth culture.

The heartbeat of KLIFE lies in the ability to build relationships with kids and bring the content of God’s word to bear on those relationships. Our desire is that kids would choose to participate in one of our small groups led by our staff and volunteer leaders. The purpose of these groups is for kids to gain a greater knowledge of God’s word, build Godly relationships with peers, and have access to a mentoring leader to come alongside them as they navigate those difficult adolescent years. Supporting and surrounding our small group strategy are the more visible components of our ministry: weekly klub meetings, activities, and events. Weekly meetings consist of games, songs, and talks that contain a lesson with a relevant life application from the Bible.

Model of Ministry

GROW EXCITEMENT | Our desire to provide a safe environment through gatherings, full of energy, laughter, and fellowship, where Biblical truth is heard, Godly community is experienced and relational equity with students is built as their excitement for the Gospel grows

ENGAGE HEARTS | Our Small Groups are the “heartbeat” of our ministry & comprised of same-gendered peers that gather on a weekly basis with a trained leader to study Scripture, encourage spiritual growth, promote accountability within the group and engage hearts to rely on the hope found in Jesus

SHARE LIFE | Our Small Group leaders are trained to pursue their students not only during small group time, but also seeking out intentional discipleship opportunities to meet students where they are at. This context is often necessary to address the deeper issues students are facing, as well as provide specific gospel centered truth, encouragement and guidance as they share life together

***all student / leader contact follows our SPP (Student Protection Plan) protocols to ensure appropriate boundaries that promote safe & healthy relationships

Our Mission

"To Impact a Youth Culture for Christ"

Our goal is to point students to Jesus so they can know Him, love Him, walk in full surrender to Him, and be equipped to point others to Him also.

Theme Verse:

"Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well" | 1 Thessalonians 2:8

WHY KLIFE?

Addie Deffenbaugh | KLIFE alumna

"In my life, KLIFE has been one of the most consistent sources of fellowship and role models that are strong in their faith. I have loved having small group leaders that pour into my life and then getting to use what I have learned to help younger girls grow in their faith"

Scout Webb | Class of 2020 Student & Leader

“Throughout my last 12 years in KLIFE I have learned how important it is to have a strong and consistent community around me and the impact that community has on my walk with The Lord. I have also learned how to lead not only my peers, but kids younger than me and teach them what KLIFE has taught me.”

Calvin Johnson | KLIFE alumna

"KLIFE has been a great way to spend time grow closer with other believers in Christ. In the time that I've gone to KLIFE, the people there have been so supportive and loving. It's a great place to be able to grow deeper in my faith surrounded by my friends"

Kaylie Moss | HS Small Group Leader

“I love being a part of the KLIFE community! It’s been an absolute joy to get into the Word each week with my 10th grade girls. I love hearing their perspective and seeing their love for Jesus and people. I’m excited to continue to be used by God in KLIFE.”

David and Sonja Settle | KLIFE Parents

“KLIFE has (1) served as a beacon of God’s truth, helping our kids navigate the challenging and complicated adolescent years while (2) simultaneously being genuinely fun and engaging. We are so thankful for the relationships our kids have through KLIFE: friendships with others who are also learning and growing in Christ, and relationships with young adults who lead by example and mentor with gentleness, wisdom, and respect. Thank you, Bartlesville KLIFE!”
